These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of RECON, an AI-powered business intelligence platform operated by Innavera (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using RECON, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the RECON platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
RECON is a market intelligence platform. It helps founders, product teams, strategy and corporate development teams, and investors research markets and competitors, build models and plans, and produce decision-ready documents and briefings, using AI and research on the public web. Research results depend on publicly available sources and may be incomplete or out of date.
AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and should not be considered legal, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all generated content before relying on it for business decisions.
3. User Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use RECON.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as necessary.
- You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform to generate, store, or distribute illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or algorithms.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the platform beyond the provided interface and API.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute generated content as a competing service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform’s infrastructure or other users’ access.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-authored professional advice (legal, financial, or otherwise).
5. Intellectual Property
Your content: You retain full ownership of all business data you input and all documents generated through the platform. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide and improve the service.
Our platform: RECON, including its design, code, AI models integration, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Innavera. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to our platform beyond the license to use it as a subscriber.
6. Plans, Trials and Payment
- Plans. RECON offers a Free plan with limited features and usage, and paid Starter, Pro and Team plans billed monthly at the prices shown on our pricing page. All fees are in USD and exclude any applicable taxes.
- Pro trial. Eligible customers may try Pro free for 14 days. A valid payment card is required to start the trial, and each customer and each card may use one trial. The trial’s end date and the date of the first charge are shown before you start.
- Automatic renewal after the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your Pro subscription starts automatically when the trial ends: your card is charged the Pro monthly price on that day and every month after, until you cancel. We email you three days and one day before the first charge, and Stripe, our payment processor, also sends you a reminder seven days before the trial ends.
- Cancelling. You can cancel a trial or a paid plan at any time from the Billing page, without contacting us. If you cancel during a trial, you are not charged, you keep Pro until the trial ends, and you then move to the Free plan. If you cancel a paid plan, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep that plan’s features until then.
- Your data. Ending a trial, cancelling or moving to a lower plan does not delete your projects, documents or research. The features and limits of your new plan apply from then on.
- Fair use. Plans include the usage limits described in the product, such as weekly competitor research on up to 10 verified competitors per project and hourly and daily limits on AI generation. These limits apply during a trial as they do on the paid plan.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, our payment processor retries it. While a payment is outstanding your account may be limited to the Free plan; your data is kept.
- Referrals. You can invite others with your personal referral link in Settings. When an account created through your link pays for a RECON plan for the first time, you receive one month of Pro: a credit of the Pro monthly price on your next invoices if you have a paid plan, or 30 days of Pro access if you do not. You receive this once for each account you refer. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not refunded if your plan ends. We may withhold or reverse a reward for referrals that are not genuine, for example accounts you create for yourself, and we may change or end the program at any time; rewards already given are kept.
- We may change prices with 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds are handled case by case.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Innavera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the platform.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of RECON shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that harm the platform or other users. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of RECON after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
